When first aid training needs physical practice

For some jobs, an online knowledge course will not meet the full training requirement. OSHA specifically states that online-only CPR and first-aid instruction without physical skills practice fails to meet the covered standards addressed in its 2012 interpretation. The employer determines the accepted format and may require an instructor assessment.

This course does not automatically provide a separate CPR/AED completion record, and a provider-issued card is not the same as an American Red Cross or AHA course completion card.

Listed price and practical buying questions

Advertised price: $14.95 as of October 15, 2026. Confirm whether you need first aid alone, CPR/AED as well, pediatric coverage, and any live skills assessment. Before paying, ask the employer to name an accepted issuer and the documentation it expects.
