American Health Care Academy offers an online CPR/AED & First Aid Combo that covers CPR for adults, children and infants, AED concepts, and general first-aid responses. The provider issues its own course documentation. It is not automatically interchangeable with an employer-required AHA, Red Cross, or hands-on skills-assessed credential.
What the online course advertises
- Self-paced online instruction for adult, child and infant CPR, AED topics and first-aid situations.
- 22 chapters, an estimated 2–3 hours, online assessment, and multiple exam attempts.
- Provider-advertised two-year completion credential and downloadable, printable or mailed wallet-card options.
- Publicly advertised price $36.95 on October 15, 2026, subject to change.
Considering this online combo?
The advertised $36.95 price covers an online CPR/AED and First Aid Combo course. It does not establish that an instructor has evaluated your physical CPR skills.

Skills verification and workplace acceptance
OSHA’s 2012 interpretation explains that online-only first-aid/CPR instruction without actual hands-on skills practice is insufficient under the workplace standards it discusses. A recorded video and quiz are not a practical skills assessment.
American Health Care Academy separately advertises options involving instructor-led or virtual hands-on skills assessment. If your employer or professional licensing authority requires such assessment, confirm which specific training package includes it, what documentation will be issued and whether that credential is accepted. A general CPR/AED and first-aid course is also not automatically equivalent to healthcare-provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
Before purchasing for work
- Ask the employer which training organization and course category it recognizes.
- Confirm whether this online-only offering or a separate skills-assessed format is required.
- Verify total price, skills-check scheduling, testing terms and the completion document.
- Do not rely on the provider’s advertised two-year duration as evidence of universal workplace recognition.
Other American Health Care Academy online courses
The CPR/AED + First Aid Combo makes sense only when you need both subjects and your organization accepts this provider’s online-only course. If you need one subject, a healthcare-specific course, or bloodborne pathogens instruction, compare the separate products below. These are direct editorial links to the provider, not affiliate-tracked purchase links. Advertised prices were checked October 15, 2026.
| Course | Advertised price | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Online CPR/AED only ↗ | $14.95 | Adult, child, infant CPR and AED concepts; does not include the complete first-aid module or an observed skills session. |
| Online First Aid only ↗ | $14.95 | First-aid topics without the complete CPR/AED combo curriculum. |
| Bloodborne Pathogens ↗ | $9.95 | Provider states one-year course validity. OSHA-covered employers also have site-specific training and exposure-control duties. |
| Healthcare CPR/AED + First Aid (BLS) ↗ | $36.95 | Healthcare-focused curriculum; not an AHA-issued BLS eCard. Confirm issuer and skills-check requirements. |
| CPR/AED + First Aid + Bloodborne Pathogens ↗ | $49.95 | Three-topic bundle. Provider states two years for CPR/first aid and one year for bloodborne pathogens. |
| ACLS online ↗ | $119.00 | Advanced cardiac life-support theory; verify whether your institution requires AHA or another named issuer and skills evaluation. |
| PALS online ↗ | $119.00 | Pediatric advanced life-support theory; verify specific employer, issuer and skills-assessment requirements. |
Why we show the differences: The lowest-priced course is not necessarily the course a workplace will accept. In particular, first-aid, BLS, ACLS and PALS course labels are not interchangeable with specific professional credentials.
Frequently asked questions about AHCA online CPR training
Is American Health Care Academy the same as the American Heart Association?
No. They are separate organizations, and an American Health Care Academy course completion document is not an AHA Heartsaver or AHA BLS card. If your employer specifically asks for an AHA, Red Cross, or other named provider’s credential, follow that requirement.
Can an online-only CPR certificate satisfy a workplace training requirement?
Not automatically. The applicable rule and employer’s accepted assessment method matter. OSHA’s interpretation for covered first-aid and CPR standards requires real physical skills practice, which online lessons and quizzes by themselves cannot provide. AHCA advertises separate skills-assessed formats, so check the complete package rather than relying on the word “online.”
Does the $36.95 price include an in-person practical session?
The official online-only combo page advertises $36.95. It does not establish that hands-on instructor observation is included. Confirm any additional skills-session fee or equipment and scheduling requirement before enrolling. Provider pricing may change.
Will this course qualify for healthcare employment or license renewal?
Only your employer, licensing board, or credentialing authority can confirm acceptance for your role. Many healthcare positions specify BLS and a particular issuing organization or hands-on assessment. Likewise, advertised continuing-education hours should be verified for your specific profession before purchase.
