Course details checked October 15, 2026. American Health Care Academy’s online CPR/AED course teaches the concepts of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adults, children and infants, including AED use and choking emergencies. It is a self-paced online course; the course’s advertised completion record is not automatically a substitute for hands-on CPR certification required by an employer.
What the course includes
- Nine online chapters, covering emergency recognition, adult CPR, child and infant CPR, AED use and choking.
- Approximately 1–2 hours of online learning with a final assessment and unlimited attempts, according to the provider.
- Provider-advertised downloadable or printable course completion documentation, with a two-year stated validity.

How the online course differs from skills-assessed CPR
Learning the CPR steps on a screen is not the same as practicing compressions on a manikin while an instructor evaluates your skills. OSHA’s 2012 interpretation says online-only instruction without physical skills practice does not meet the workplace first-aid and CPR standards it addresses. Some employers specify AHA, Red Cross or another organization and require an observed skills session.
American Health Care Academy also advertises separate virtual or in-person hands-on training options, but those are not established as part of this online-only $14.95 listing. Ask your employer for the exact issuing organization and skills-assessment format it accepts before paying.
Listed price and completion
Advertised price: $14.95 on October 15, 2026. The official page lists nine chapters, 1–2 hours, unlimited exam attempts and two-year course validity. Prices and optional fees may change. Provider-issued course documentation is not an AHA eCard.
Which option should you compare?
If your job also requires first aid, compare AHCA’s CPR/AED + First Aid Combo instead of buying two separate courses without checking the contents. If a hands-on card is required, read our comparison of classroom, blended and virtual skills-assessed CPR courses.
