American Health Care Academy: PALS Online Course

Compare AHCA's $119 online PALS course, pediatric emergency topics, completion documentation, and AHA PALS hands-on skills requirements.

Provider information checked October 15, 2026. American Health Care Academy offers a self-paced Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) online course addressing pediatric emergencies. The product is not automatically interchangeable with another organization’s PALS Provider card. For clinical employment, ask exactly which issuer and skills-check format your employer recognizes.

Course subjects and format

  • Eight chapters with pediatric patient assessment, respiratory distress, bradycardia and tachycardia, cardiac arrest, shock, post-resuscitation care and pediatric pharmacology.
  • Interactive online material, scenario-based instruction and an online exam with provider-advertised multiple attempts.
  • Approximately 3–4 hours of coursework and a stated two-year completion credential, according to the provider.

Before enrolling

Check the required issuer and skills assessment with your clinical employer before buying an online-only course.

How this differs from an AHA PALS Provider card

PALS is commonly requested for medical roles involving children. A workplace may specify American Heart Association PALS rather than any course carrying PALS in the title. The AHA PALS course options distinguish classroom, blended and skills-verified pathways. Its online HeartCode lessons are not the complete hands-on qualification by themselves.

AHCA’s listed online-only product does not independently establish an AHA-issued card or observed practical assessment. Check with the employer, credentialing department or licensing body before purchase.

Published price and completion terms

Advertised online price: $119.00 on October 15, 2026. AHCA lists an online assessment, two-year completion period and continuing-education information. Verify whether any CE hours count for your professional license and whether additional skills testing is necessary.

Who should compare alternatives?

A healthcare worker seeking general first aid or standard CPR may not need a PALS course at all. Pediatric critical-care staff who must hold a particular PALS Provider credential should obtain their employer’s specified course details first. See our guide to training formats and skills checks for the broader distinction.
