American Health Care Academy: ACLS Online Course

AHCA's $119 online ACLS course has 17 chapters and provider-issued documentation. Compare it with required AHA ACLS practical skills and employer acceptance.

Provider information checked October 15, 2026. American Health Care Academy (AHCA) sells an online Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course designed for healthcare professionals studying adult cardiac emergencies. The provider markets a printable completion credential, but the issuing organization and required skills assessment are critical for clinical jobs. AHCA is not the American Heart Association (AHA).

Published course format

  • 17 chapters, including cardiac anatomy, rhythm and emergency response concepts, airway management, cardiac arrest algorithms and medications.
  • Online video and scenario-based instruction, practice quizzes and a final online assessment.
  • Approximately 3–4 hours advertised by AHCA; the provider lists a two-year completion term and downloadable or printable documentation.

Before enrolling

Confirm the accepted issuing organization and any instructor-observed skills evaluation with your employer.

ACLS is not one universal credential

If a hospital, nursing program, emergency medical service, or licensing authority requires AHA ACLS Provider, completing an AHCA online quiz does not automatically fulfill that named requirement. The AHA ACLS training page describes its own blended-learning pathway and the hands-on session required to obtain the AHA completion card.

Before enrolling, verify the employer’s specified provider, expected assessment, accepted completion card, and whether the course satisfies initial qualification or renewal. AHCA may provide useful educational material even where a particular clinical credential is still required.

Price, CE, and renewal checks

Provider-advertised price: $119.00 on October 15, 2026, with a two-year stated completion term. AHCA advertises continuing-education credit, but the availability and acceptance of credit depend on the profession, accrediting body and licensing requirements. The cited price is not confirmation that any third-party skills session is included.

How to choose a course

Start with the exact language in your employer’s or credentialing department’s requirement. Then compare AHCA’s online course against the specified issuing organization, any practical skills check, final card and total cost.
