Provider information checked October 15, 2026. American Health Care Academy markets a healthcare-focused online CPR/AED and First Aid course as a BLS combo. The material is intended for learners seeking healthcare CPR concepts. Do not assume that a course called BLS is equivalent to an AHA Basic Life Support course completion eCard.
Course topics and provider-stated format
- Adult, child and infant CPR; AED use and emergency recognition.
- Healthcare-specific techniques, including two-rescuer CPR and bag-mask ventilation, alongside first-aid topics.
- 23 chapters; provider estimates 1–2 hours of online learning with quiz attempts and printable completion documentation.
- A provider-stated two-year completion term. The $36.95 listing does not independently establish an instructor-observed skills check.

What hospital and clinical staff should confirm
A nurse, EMT, clinical assistant, therapist, student, or other healthcare worker may be required to hold a particular organization’s BLS credential. Many healthcare employers specify the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross, or another named organization, plus a practical skills assessment. AHCA is not the AHA. Ask credentialing staff for the exact accepted course title, issuer, hands-on verification method and renewal requirement.
OSHA also explains that for the workplace first-aid and CPR standards covered in its training interpretation, online-only instruction without hands-on practice does not meet the training requirement.
Published price and comparison
Advertised price: $36.95 on October 15, 2026. The provider lists two-year completion documentation and online assessment. Any separate live skills component, supplies or provider-specific credential needs to be checked before enrollment.
If your position requires Heartsaver rather than healthcare BLS, those are different training tracks. Our workplace CPR guide compares AHA, Red Cross, HSI and AHCA options and distinguishes online lessons from observed skills checks.
